Sian Pittman Charcoal Holder Brooch /New Product

Product information

Handcrafted contemporary jewellery.

Sian's pieces are inspired by function and beauty within the natural world. The Lake District holds innumerable beauties on many scales and Sian aims to make jewellery that capture this beauty and transfers it to the body, enabling the wearer/owner to form a permanent relationship with the landscape.

Sian's pieces are individually handmade using gold, silver and copper combined with natural materials and precious stones to produce pieces that are tactile, wearable and often functional.

This body of work is a response to the needs of artists on the move and as a result she has produced tiny personal sketch (or note) books, media holders and containers for collecting. Some of these pieces contain graphite, collected from the ninteenth century mines in the Borrowdale valley.
This piece includes charcoal.
