These papers are made from the inner bark of the lokta plant which grows in the forests of the Himalayas. The lokta is harvested without destroying the plant and the paper is made without environmental damage to the forests. These exotic papers are hand made, textured and deckle edged. This is by pouring pulp onto the mould, a heavy wooden frame covered with cloth floating in a pool of water. The mould is then propped up and dried in the sun. This is a very primitive method and these papers have a special quality.Strong colours 500x750mm (20x30ins) 30gsm
