Snowy Morning at Rydal – Greeting Card

“A cross-road passes under Loughrigg. Looking upstream, from the parapet, it is a lovely confusion; in winter garmented in dazzling snow.” (W.T. Palmer – p32/3 The English Lakes)

Painted by the River Rothay near the under-Loughrigg road, Alfred delights in using his considerable skill of depicting snow – by leaving the white paper free of paint.
