Description

Home of the county’s tallest Grand Fir, this woodland nook sits above Ambleside, at the Northern end of Windermere, commanding views in all directions as many ascend to Wansfell Pike.

Here, tall, strong boughs emerge from scattered granite boulders and quietly, in the background, Red Screes occupies the skyline, bathed in soft light.  A cool tone prevails over the scene, indicating a dry winter’s day.
